'Ali Bahrami Astaraki argues for the date to be read as 1044.
Mostafa 'Alizadeh Gul Sifidi (10/2012) also argues for 1044. Consequently this would be a decree by Shah Safi. He identifies the addressee as Khalil Khan Bakhtiyari who he mentions was at the head of the Il-i Bakhtiyari 1037-1070. He identifies the seal as a later confirmation by Shah 'Abbas II. |
