Letter from Shah Sulayman to the Russian Tsar

Notes Several Tsars ruled Russia during Shah Sulayman's reign and so it is not clear to whom the letter has been sent. The following addressees are possible: Alexis I (1645-76), Fjodor III (1676-82), Ivan V ( 1682-89), Peter I (since 1689). Since this letter is undated Shah Sulayman's reign (1666-94) was used to determine the date of the document. Also published in: Qa'im-Maqami, Jahangir.
