A note on copyright

It has to be emphasized that the present database is a non-commercial project that addresses the international research community and serves strictly academic purposes. Nevertheless, we are well aware that this project might infringe on copyrights held by individuals or institutions, disregarding the fact that Iran is currently not part of international copyright treaties.

We will of course actively attempt to acquire the consent of authors, editors, and publishers of material presented in this database, as well as that of the institutions or private collectors actually holding documents incorporated here. In the case of older publications this might prove difficult, and in many instances the holding institution might not easily be identified. We therefore have to apologize, if by any chance somebody finds material included at this site without his or her consent and would appreciate a notification in case anybody should object to the inclusion.
